TPV | Thermoplastic Vulcanizate
TPV is a thermoplastic elastomer derived from the mixing of olefin thermoplastics, such as PP and untreated rubber such as EPDM rubber. During the mixing process, chemicals are added. To cause the rubber in the plastic to cross-link, which, after the rubber has been cured will make this material have mechanical properties to have better heat and chemical resistance than normal Olefin thermoplastic materials.
TPV is used in the wire and cable industry. Various rubber products used with machinery, and is commonly used in automotive parts such as Boots / Bellow, air duct under hood. Automotive seal group for exterior use such as roof molding, Inner outer belt, Weather seal, Glass-run channel etc.
